The Little Church with the Big Heart

Being part of "doing His work," St. Paul has worked hard at helping those in need in our community, state and world.

St. Paul Lutheran had total offerings of $229,817.00 for 2010

--$211,486 was for "at home" expenses
--$11,531 was sent to the Texas District for Texas and Synodical mission activity
--$17,165 was for other "at large" mission activity

A few of the various mission activites included:
--$6,900 for local youth activities
--$4,602 for local & other benevolence activities (including Faith in Sharing House)
--$3,754 for KIMA (Koinonia in Mission Agency - helping with missions in Mexico)
--$2,702 for Gideons
--$4,125 Concordia Seminary, Texas Tech Campus ministry, & Malawi missions
--$1,470 L.A.M.P. (Lutheran Assoc. of Missionary Pilots) & other Alaska missions

Money toward the building fund (new parish hall and education building) --$44,487.00
--total in the building fund at the end of 2010 was $290,000.00

The Senor Youth group participates in a large number of community mission opportunities. Each Monday they teach Bible stories to children who are currently residents at the Hale County Women's Crisis Center. They sponsor monthly mission projects that included helping The Crisis Pregnancy Center, Humane Society, Covenant Hospital Nursery, and the Hale County Crisis Center, just to name a few. They assist local citizens each military holiday by placing flags on veteran's graves.
